made by Ido Ferber

Traditional Japanese style Sake bottle.

Decorated using a technique called Hidasuki. This is a traditional Japanese technique, famous in the Bizen area, which uses rice straw to create unique burn marks on the pots. A special clay body is used in a unique firing atmosphere to achieve these marks, which become part of the body and do not wash off over time.

These forms are usually used for serving sake, but could also be used as small flower pots.

Available alone or in a special kiribako. A special wooden box with an inscription.
